Terms of Service

The agreement between you and ApplyBandit.

Effective date: 6 July 2026.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ApplyBandit website, apps and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service. Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.

1. Who can use ApplyBandit

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may use the Service only for your own genuine job search, and you’re responsible for everything done under your account. One account is for one person — don’t share your login.

2. What the Service does

ApplyBandit helps you run your job search: it monitors employers’ careers pages and public job boards, surfaces and matches roles to your profile, prepares application documents and tailored drafts in your writing style, optimises them for applicant-tracking systems, and helps you review, organise and track your applications. The Service assists you — it does not act as your agent or apply on your behalf.

3. Auto-prepare, never auto-submit — your responsibility

This is central to how ApplyBandit works. ApplyBandit prepares applications for your review. You are responsible for reviewing, approving and submitting each application yourself, in your own browser session.

  • ApplyBandit does not submit applications to SEEK or any other job board or employer on your behalf, and does not automate the act of applying.
  • The optional companion browser extension only helps fill fields you review in your own session; it never clicks submit and never applies for you.
  • You are the applicant of record for every application. You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of what you submit.
  • You agree not to use the Service to breach, circumvent or automate around the terms of service, robots rules, or anti-automation measures of SEEK or any other job board, employer or third-party site.

4. Your account and security

Keep your login credentials confidential and your contact details current. Tell us promptly at support@applybandit.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You’re responsible for activity under your account to the extent it results from your acts or omissions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully, or to submit false, misleading or fraudulent information in an application;
  • misuse company monitoring, or use the Service to scrape, overload, or abuse any third-party site;
  • circumvent a job board’s or employer’s terms, rate limits or anti-automation controls;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, resell, sublicense or build a competing product from the Service, or attempt to access it other than through the interfaces we provide;
  • interfere with, probe or disrupt the Service’s security or infrastructure, or attempt to access another user’s data; or
  • use the Service to send spam or to harass any person or organisation.

6. Your content and our platform

You keep ownership of the information and documents you provide — your profile, résumés, writing samples and application materials (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and adapt Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to prepare and optimise your drafts). We claim no ownership of Your Content. We own the Service itself — our software, design, and brand — and nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you.

7. Third-party sites and listings

Roles are surfaced from employers’ public careers pages and public job aggregators. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for third-party listings, sites, or their accuracy, availability or terms. Applying happens on the employer’s or job board’s own site, subject to their terms and privacy practices. Aggregator listings link out to their source; we surface facts with attribution rather than republishing full listing text.

8. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • Free and paid plans. The Service offers a free plan with limited usage and paid subscriptions with higher limits and additional features, as described on our pricing page. Plan limits are enforced by the Service.
  • Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance through our third-party payment processor on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as you choose) until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise.
  • Cancellation. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your billing settings. On cancellation, your paid access continues until the end of the current paid period and does not renew; we don’t provide pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a period except where required by law.
  • Price changes. We may change plan prices or features; we’ll give reasonable notice, and changes apply from your next billing period.
  • Consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. No guarantee of outcome

ApplyBandit is a tool to help you apply — it is not a recruiter, employment agency, or career or legal adviser, and it does not guarantee interviews, offers, or any employment outcome. Monitoring and matching are provided on a best-effort basis and may not capture every role or be error-free.

10. Disclaimers

Except for guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that listings or drafts will be accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApplyBandit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, opportunities, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied, or is otherwise capped at the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims and losses arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your submission of inaccurate, unlawful or infringing content, to the extent caused by your acts or omissions.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others, the Service, or us — where practicable, with notice. On termination, the rights you granted us end (except for anything we must retain for legal reasons), and you can export or delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and where changes are material we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the state or territory in which we are based, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
