<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The role</h3>
<p>The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial insights. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and driving process improvements across the Finance function.</p>
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What you'll be doing</h3>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Manage and support the month-end close process, including general ledger integrity and reconciliations.</li>
<li>Perform loan book reconciliations and ensure accuracy of related entries.</li>
<li>Support daily payment processing and cash flow activities.</li>
<li>Act as the key point of contact for external audits and support the audit process.</li>
<li>Prepare financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS).</li>
<li>Handle compliance and regulatory reporting requirements, including statutory obligations.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial information.</li>
<li>Mentor and guide junior accountants, fostering technical development and best practices.</li>
<li>Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li>
<li>Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic finance initiatives as required.</li>
</ul>
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What you'll need to succeed</h3>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>CA/CPA qualified with 4–6 years’ experience in financial accounting roles.</li>
<li>Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred).</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.</li>
