<p class="p1">As an engineer working at Kick, you will be given interesting and challenging engineering problems to solve, have ultimate ownership of your work, and be responsible for a product used by millions of people every day. There will be greenfield opportunities for new services, as well as scale-up and stabilisation opportunities for our established services. Everything you build will be used by millions of people the day you deploy it.</p>

<p class="p1"><strong>About the team:</strong></p>
<p class="p1">We’re hiring engineers for the Platform-Trust Team at Kick. You’ll build real-time, large-scale systems to detect and prevent fraud and abuse - working on low-latency pipelines, distributed systems, and high-impact problems that directly affect millions of users.</p>
<p class="p1">High ownership, greenfield challenges, and serious scale. If you enjoy solving adversarial, data-heavy problems, this is worth a chat.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul class="ul1">
<li class="li2">Architect and design scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.</li>
<li class="li2">Optimise existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.</li>
<li class="li2">Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.</li>
<li class="li2">Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to effectively communicate technical concepts.</li>
<li class="li2">Innovate within the team by pushing for improvements and driving constructive changes to enhance team performance and efficiency.</li>
<li class="li1">Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers in the team.</li>
</ul>
<p class="p1"><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul class="ul1">
<li class="li2">Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.</li>
<li class="li2">6-7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.</li>
<li class="li2">Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role (Go, PHP).</li>
<li class="li2">Strong understanding of code architecture and design principles.</li>
<li class="li2">Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders</li>
<li class="li2">Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies to grow as a full-stack engineer.</li>
<li class="li1">Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li>
</ul>
<p class="p1"><strong>Preferred Qualifications<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></strong></p>
<ul class="ul1">
<li class="li2">Familiarity with internet fraud/abuse, botting incentive/desincentives structures</li>
<li class="li2">Familiarity with streaming culture and platforms</li>
<li class="li2">Experience building web applications</li>
