The Opportunity
At Netwealth, onboarding is where adviser and client confidence begins.
Every new application, account and investment journey starts with an exceptional onboarding experience. Behind the scenes, our Onboarding Support team plays a critical role in making sure requests are complete, accurate and ready to progress efficiently.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Investor Services Officer to join our Client Onboarding function. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and delivering high-quality outcomes that make a real difference for advisers and clients.
You'll play an important role in helping create a seamless onboarding experience, ensuring requests are set up correctly from the start and supporting the efficient movement of work across our onboarding teams.
About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll be responsible for reviewing onboarding documentation, validating information and preparing workflows so requests can progress efficiently through the onboarding process.
Working closely with advisers, clients and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure onboarding requests are complete, compliant and ready for action.
You'll contribute to a high-performing operational environment by delivering quality outcomes, supporting service excellence and helping identify opportunities to enhance how we work.
About you
You're organised, proactive and take pride in delivering quality work.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a strong eye for detail and know how to balance accuracy with efficiency. You're confident communicating with stakeholders, asking the right questions and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Most importantly, you're someone who genuinely cares about creating great experiences and continuously improving the way work gets done.
Your strengths include:
- Attention to Detail – identifying gaps, reviewing documentation and ensuring work is completed accurately the first time.
- Customer & Stakeholder Focus – building positive relationships and communicating clearly with advisers and internal teams.
- Problem Solving – investigating issues, finding solutions and knowing when to escalate.
- Operational Excellence – managing competing priorities while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Continuous Improvement – looking for opportunities to simplify processes and improve outcomes.
What you'll do
- Review onboarding documentation to ensure requests are complete and meet required standards.
- Validate information and identify any missing documentation or outstanding requirements.
- Communicate with advisers to obtain additional information and resolve documentation gaps.
- Prepare and progress onboarding workflows accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver high-quality outcomes while meeting agreed service levels and productivity expectations.
- Investigate and resolve operational exceptions, escalating issues where required.
- Support compliance, risk management and quality control obligations.
- Contribute to process improvements, workflow enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build knowledge across Netwealth products, systems and operational processes.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Customer Operations and the broader business.
What you'll bring
- Experience in an operations, administration, customer service, processing or operational support environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving capability.
- The ability to interpret requirements, review documentation and identify missing information.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing workload.
- A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement.
Nice to have
Experience in financial services, superannuation, investments, banking or another regulated environment will help you get up to speed, but isn't essential.
Exposure to any of the following would also be beneficial:
- Investor onboarding
- AML/KYC processes
- Investment or superannuation administration
- Adviser-facing operational support
- Asset transfer processing
- Workflow management systems
- High-volume operational environments
