If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, where innovation is celebrated, and where you can help shape a brighter financial future, join us at Netwealth.
Some opportunities are about maintaining what already exists.
This isn't one of them.
At Netwealth, we're redesigning how technology works from the ground up. We're creating a new Platform, Reliability & Quality function that becomes the foundation every engineering team builds on, allowing great ideas to move faster, more safely and with less friction. This role sits at the heart of that transformation.
We're looking for a product leader who sees platforms not as infrastructure, but as products. Someone who loves solving problems for technical customers and believes the best engineering experience is one where the secure, compliant and reliable path is also the easiest path.
IMAGINE YOUR FIRST YEAR
You'll partner with engineering, reliability, quality, infrastructure and security leaders to shape the platform that hundreds of engineers rely on every day. You'll define the roadmap, influence priorities, champion adoption and help create the golden paths that make great software delivery feel effortless.
You'll help turn reliability into a product feature, quality into a self-service capability, and developer experience into something teams genuinely advocate for. You'll balance immediate engineering challenges with the longer-term vision of a platform that scales with Netwealth's ambitions.
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to build something new. Not just improve a platform, but define how platform product management looks at Netwealth.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Technology is a critical part of Netwealth's future. As we've grown, complexity has grown with us, and we're intentionally investing in the foundations that allow innovation to compound. We believe reliable platforms, embedded quality, clear ownership and exceptional developer experience create the conditions for our teams to do their best work.
This role helps make that vision real.
You'll own product decisions across platform capabilities spanning cloud, infrastructure, developer experience, observability, CI/CD, quality engineering, test data, self-service tooling and more. You'll decide what we build, why it matters, how success is measured and whether it delivers meaningful outcomes for our engineering community.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Defining and evolving the product strategy and roadmap for Netwealth's engineering platform.
- Building strong relationships with engineers and leaders to deeply understand their challenges, workflows and opportunities.
- Driving adoption of platform capabilities through research, insight and continuous discovery.
- Partnering with Reliability Engineering and Observability teams to embed reliability into the way we build.
- Shaping quality engineering as a self-service capability that empowers teams.
- Making evidence-based build, buy or blend decisions that deliver measurable value.
- Building and growing a high-performing product management practice within a highly technical environment.
- Translating regulatory and risk requirements into practical platform capabilities that engineers actually want to use.
ABOUT YOU
You have spent years working where technology, product and engineering intersect.
You understand developer platforms, cloud-native environments and modern software delivery practices. You've seen the impact great internal products can have on engineering velocity, reliability and satisfaction, and you know that adoption is often the most important measure of success.
You'll likely bring:
- Strong expertise in technology, including significant platform or technical product leadership experience.
- Expertise treating internal platforms as products, with clear ownership, service levels, roadmaps and adoption metrics.
- Strong understanding of cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, containers and continuous delivery.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering practices including SLOs, error budgets and incident management.
- Expertise working with engineering leaders to solve complex organisational and technical challenges.
- A collaborative leadership style that influences through credibility, evidence and relationships rather than hierarchy.
- Expertise leading and developing product managers and technical product teams.
